HALL OF FAMEIn November 2019, I was inducted into the Iowa High School Swimming Hall of Fame at the Iowa Girls High School Swimming State Championship Meet.
This was one of the happiest days of my life — a true honor and outstanding way to celebrate 13 years as a competitive swimmer. I hung up my goggles in retirement in 2015, but hard work, tenacity, and time management are all skills learned in athletics that I’ve carried into my professional life. Swimming will always have a special place in my heart. |
SCUBA DIVINGAfter weeks of studying and pool training, I became a PADI Open Water Diver while traveling abroad in July 2021, then an Enriched Air Diver in December 2021.
Having grown up in competitive swimming, I love being able to tap into water skills learned in my childhood and apply them in a fresh and new way - all while exploring beautiful underwater worlds. |
